Yucheng and Jeff demonstrate high-altitude display of flags.

The Auburn Civitans had American flags flying downtown on Memorial Day, May 30, 2016. The Civitans have been displaying flags downtown on national holidays since 1965. This project is supported by the City of Auburn and many Auburn businesses.

This was the first time the flags were placed on the new, pedestrian lights downtown. Formerly, they were on parking meters about three feet above the sidewalk. The new lights feature flag holders about eight feet above the base.
